ARTISTS FOR VETERANS

Artists for Veterans

Calling all artists!

You are invited to submit your original artwork for a contest that will benefit homeless Veterans. The contest will benefit our Veterans, the Kingman Center for the Arts (KCA) and the Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council of Mohave County (JAVC).

Artists should bring their original artwork to the Kingman Center for the Arts Gallery located at 402 E. Beale Street between May 1st and May 31st. The submissions will then be displayed on the KCA and JAVC websites and in the Beale Celebration windows during the month of June. All mediums and sizes will be considered. Content should feature nature and animals. Artwork should be prepared for professional hanging, mounted with wire.

The public is invited to vote by donating a dollar per bid through this link http://www.javc.org/artists-for-veterans “Artists for Veterans”. Artwork receiving the top three vote tallies will be displayed with artist’s credit in the lobby of the old Arnold Plaza building at 315 E. Oak Street in Kingman. This building has been renovated with 23 units available for homeless Veterans where the artwork will hang as a daily reminder for our Veterans that our community cares.

Bidding will take place online at http://www.javc.org/works-of-art-bidding-form beginning May 1st and ending on May 31th. Winners will be announced the first week of July. All donated artwork submissions will become the property of JAVC for the benefit of the Veterans.
