Meet our Board Members

Dorn “Pat” Farrell – President, Board of Directors


Dorn “Pat” Farrell serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council of Mohave County, Inc. (JAVC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting military veterans through transitional housing, transportation, and comprehensive supportive services. In this leadership role, Pat provides strategic guidance, organizational oversight, and mission-aligned leadership to ensure JAVC continues to meet the evolving needs of the veteran community.


A United States Navy veteran and former federal government employee, Pat brings more than 43 years of experience in leadership, public service, and community engagement. He leads the board in advancing long-term goals, ensuring governance integrity, and fostering strong collaboration with the Executive Director and staff leadership team.


Pat’s commitment to veterans is deeply rooted in both his personal military service and his family’s long-standing legacy of service. Under his guidance, JAVC has expanded its programs, strengthened its financial position, and built enduring partnerships with veteran-serving agencies, community groups, and funding organizations.


In recognition of his lifetime of service to veterans, Pat was inducted into the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame in 2015. He is a lifetime member of the Vietnam Veterans of America and Disabled American Veterans (DAV), and has been an active member of the VFW Post #10386 for over 48 years. He also holds long-standing membership in the American Legion Post #14 and the Kingman Elks Lodge #468.


When not serving veterans, Pat enjoys watching football and golf and spending time with his wife.

Sarah Pleth - Treasurer

  

Sarah Pleth serves as the Treasurer for the Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council of Mohave County, Inc. (JAVC) , a nonprofit dedicated to providing support services to veterans. With over 16 years of experience in Finance and management, Sarah plays a crucial role in ensuring JAVC’s financial integrity and sustainability.


She is responsible for overseeing budgeting, financial planning, and reporting, working closely with the board and executive leadership to maintain transparent and effective fiscal practices. Sarah’s expertise in accounting and management helps maximize resources to better serve veterans’ needs.


Sarah has an associate’s degree in accounting from Charter College (with honors and the presidential award) and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with accounting from the University of Pheonix. She was recently inducted into the Delta Mu Delts Society for her scholastic achievements.


Her commitment to veterans is deeply personal and inspired by her family’s military service. Beyond her financial duties, Sarah also has been a member of the Kingman Elks Lodge # 468 since 2017. She has served on various committees and was the past treasurer. Sarah was the Elk of the month for May 2018 and the Elk of the year in 2019-2020.


When not serving on the board or volunteering, Sarah enjoys traveling abroad and visiting other cultures, line dancing, and is a homeopathic natural soap maker.

Shirley “Nani” Chrimes - Secretary

Stephen Christopher “Chris” Molnar – Chaplain, Board Member

 Nani Chrimes serves as the Board Secretary for the Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council of Mohave County, Inc. (JAVC), a veteran nonprofit dedicated to providing support services to veterans. In this role, Nani is responsible for maintaining accurate records of board meetings, and supporting effective communication between board members and staff.

With over 50 years in organizational leadership and communications, she ensures that the board functions efficiently and transparently. Prior to joining JAVC, Nani held leadership roles in the Kingman Elks Lodge #468 and volunteer coordination for several nonprofits including her church.

Nani worked for the state of Arizona for 7 years starting in Vocational Rehabilitation and retiring as an administrative assistant liaison for Residential Housing for the disabled. She has always been a strong advocate especially for veteran issues. Nani’s attention to detail and commitment to mission-driven work makes her an integral part of the board’s leadership team.

Nani holds an associate degree in business administration from Los Angles College and has had extensive training as a legal secretary. She has been married to her husband Bob, a navy veteran, for 55 years.

When not serving on the board or volunteering, Nani enjoys taking cruises, camping, card making and participating in functions at the Elks lodge and her church.

Stephen Christopher “Chris” Molnar – Chaplain, Board Member

Stephen Christopher “Chris” Molnar – Chaplain, Board Member


Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Stephen Christopher “Chris” Molnar brings more than two decades of distinguished military service to his role as Chaplain of the Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council of Mohave County, Inc. (JAVC). Enlisting initially as a Russian linguist in Europe, Chris later answered the call to ministry, receiving his commission as a U.S. Army Chaplain. His service includes notable assignments at the United States Military Academy at West Point and the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, along with various other domestic and international postings.

As Chaplain at JAVC, Chris provides spiritual care and pastoral guidance to veterans navigating the often complex paths of recovery, reintegration, and healing. His approach is rooted in compassion, faith, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges veterans face.

Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in history, a Master of Divinity from his denomination’s seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, and a second theology degree from the Divinity School at Yale University. In addition to his academic credentials, he has completed several hundred hours of continuing education in counseling, substance use intervention, and critical incident stress management.

Beyond JAVC, Chris serves as the Mentor Coordinator for the Kingman Veterans Treatment Court, further extending his commitment to restorative justice and veteran support.

He enjoys spending time with his wife, Cathy, a professional musician, and their two adult children. In his free time, Chris enjoys music, reading, and community engagement.

Lonnie Wills – Board Member

Casey Farrell – Director of Programs & Board Member


Lonnie Wills is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, entrepreneur, and passionate advocate for veterans' rights who serves on the Board of Directors of the Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council of Mohave County, Inc. (JAVC). As a board member, Lonnie brings decades of leadership experience in both the private sector and public service, leveraging his background to advance JAVC’s mission of providing transitional housing, crisis support, and long-term solutions for veterans in need.

Lonnie served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1989 to 1997, reaching the rank of Sergeant. His military service instilled a lifelong commitment to discipline, integrity, and service—values that now guide his work in veteran advocacy and policy reform.


Following his military career, Lonnie founded several successful companies, including CallAssistant.ai, an AI-based telecommunications platform, and Cloudtrigger, a tech consultancy known for innovations like G2Maps and G2Analytics. He brings strategic vision and technological insight to the board, helping JAVC modernize its infrastructure, communications, and outreach capabilities.


Lonnie is also a former U.S. Senate candidate in Arizona and remains actively engaged in policy discussions concerning veterans’ healthcare, housing, and government accountability. His investigative work and advocacy have helped bring national attention to systemic issues within the VA and have defended critical services for at-risk veterans in Arizona.


He holds extensive experience in construction and project management and is personally involved in facility improvement initiatives at JAVC. A bold, hands-on leader, Lonnie works closely with staff, local government, and veteran stakeholders to ensure JAVC’s programs remain veteran-led, mission-focused, and community-rooted.


When he’s not working, Lonnie enjoys spending time with his wife Pam, his Labrador Rebel, and honoring the memory of his late German Shepherd, Jackson. He is also passionate about faith, nutrition, outdoor life, and mentoring fellow veterans through crisis and recovery.

Casey Farrell – Director of Programs & Board Member

Casey Farrell – Director of Programs & Board Member


Casey Farrell serves as both a board member and the Director of Programs for the Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council of Mohave County, Inc. (JAVC), where she oversees the design, implementation, and evaluation of all programmatic services supporting veterans transitioning from homelessness to independent living.

With over 29 years of experience in social services and nonprofit leadership, Casey brings a deep commitment to veteran advocacy, housing stability, and trauma-informed care. Prior to joining JAVC, she managed and delivered direct services to diverse populations, including incarcerated individuals and community clients facing substance use and chronic mental health disorders—many of them military veterans.

Casey has been instrumental in enhancing JAVC’s case management approach, improving client outcomes, and strengthening partnerships with the VA, local and state agencies, and community-based organizations. Her leadership has ensured continuity of care and housing retention for some of the region’s most vulnerable veterans.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in management and marketing with a minor in psychology from Waynesburg University and a master’s degree in education. She is currently completing her master’s degree in community counseling at the California University of Pennsylvania, with only three classes remaining. A lifelong learner, Casey has earned numerous certifications related to veteran services and behavioral health.

Known for her collaborative leadership and hands-on approach, Casey is deeply committed to empowering veterans with dignity, respect, and comprehensive support.

Casey is a member of the Kingman Elks Lodge #468 and a lifetime member of the Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America, where she previously served as National Region 9 Director. A two-time cancer survivor, she also supports the American Cancer Society through Relay for Life and provides mentorship to others facing cancer.

When not working or volunteering, Casey enjoys crafting, quilting, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her husband of over 25 years, Pat—a U.S. Navy veteran and current Board President of JAVC.

Richard Mickle - Board Member

Richard Mickle - Board Member

Richard Mickle is a proud U.S. Army veteran and Board Member of the Jerry Ambrose Veterans County of Mohave County, Inc. (JAVC) dedicated to ending homelessness.      Drawing on his personal experience of 27 years homeless after his military service, Richard brings a vital perspective to the board and a passionate commitment to improving the lives of fellow veterans facing housing insecurity.

After serving in the military, Richard experienced firsthand the challenges many veterans face when returning to civilian life, including housing instability, unsteady employment, access to healthcare, and substance use disorder. This lived experience fuels his advocacy to help veterans meet their unique needs. Since joining the board in 2021, Richard has been instrumental in strengthening community outreach through his work at standdowns and resource fairs and amplifying the voices of those too often overlooked.

Richards journey from homelessness to self sufficiency is a testament to resilience, service and the power of support systems. He continues to serve his community by volunteering and working part-time for JAVC. Outside of his work and board service, Richard enjoys classic cars, biking, and watching old westerns.
